A secret beach in Phuket

Lighthouse Beach or Secret Beach near Promthep

Geo on Google Maps

Have you ever been to a secret beach? Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? Why is it called “secret”? Because only experienced travelers know about it! Until recently, it didn’t even have a name.

How to get there:

If you’re coming from Rawai Beach, there’s a steep downhill road on the left just before you reach Promthep Cape. The trail is quite steep and rocky in places, so proper footwear is essential. You can also access the beach from Promthep Cape itself — the path is less steep but a bit longer.

The beach is small and secluded, though rather rocky. It’s a great spot for snorkeling enthusiasts and for those who want to have a photoshoot without crowds in the background.

How to get to the beach:

  • On foot — unrealistic, too far.
  • By taxi — possible, but make sure the driver waits for you (no mobile signal for calling a ride back!).
  • By motorbike — the best option.
  • By car — also possible, parking is available.
