How can I get from Karon to Bangla Road?
Insider's Response
If you want to save money, you can take a city bus to Patong Beach. Bangla Road is nearby. However, buses in Phuket often don’t follow a schedule, so the trip may take longer.
Another option is to catch a tuk-tuk, which are often found around the beaches. But keep in mind that the fare for a tuk-tuk ride is 2–3 times higher than for a taxi – in Phuket, it’s considered a tourist attraction. This is especially true at night, when other public transport isn’t running, and tuk-tuk drivers tend to inflate prices even more.

The most cost-effective way to get around Phuket is by renting a vehicle. You can choose a motorbike or a car. Just keep in mind that you’ll need an international driving permit, as well as a readiness to deal with unpredictable Asian traffic and parking. We recommend parking only in designated areas, otherwise you risk fines and your vehicle being immobilized.
