DTV Visa

The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is a visa designed for digital nomads, granting remote workers the ability to stay in Thailand for up to 5 years. It is a multiple-entry visa, allowing holders to remain in Thailand for 180 days at a time without needing to leave. Afterward, they can extend their stay for another 6 months. Once the extension expires, they can leave the country and re-enter to reset their stay period.

The DTV is tailored for various categories of visitors:

  • remote workers;
  • travelers;
  • participants in music festivals and seminars;
  • medical tourists;
  • students of Thai boxing, culinary arts, and other courses;
  • fitness trainees.

The visa can be applied for at a Thai consulate. Certain requirements must be met to qualify:

  1. Applicants must be at least 20 years old.
  2. Visa fees must be paid.
  3. Proof of at least 500,000฿ (or equivalent) in a bank account is required.
  4. Evidence of employment with a company or client work must be provided.

Applicants can also apply for this visa if their travel purpose is medical treatment, culinary courses, national sports training, and similar activities.
