An unusual vintage spot, untypical for Phuket. What immediately catches the eye is the huge collection of vinyl records behind the bar – pure style! The owner Rob, originally from the U.S., built a world-class music collection for his bar. By the way, he plays the vinyl himself – it’s stylish, tasteful, and filled with a special nostalgic vibe. The sound is amazing, so even the most discerning music lovers will be satisfied.
Rob also makes the cocktails himself. He’s taken good care of the drink menu – the beer selection includes not just Thai but also New Zealand options, along with a nice range of wines and whiskeys. Prices are quite friendly too – for example, cocktails are around 300 baht.
People come to AMP Listening Bar primarily for the atmosphere and quality music. Even if you don’t drink (though we do recommend trying Rob’s cocktails!), you’ll definitely enjoy the retro vibe.
