Baba Poolclub in Phuket is a restaurant-and-pool area of the Sri Panwa resort, perched on a hilltop. The easiest way to get there is by resort transfer: a tuk-tuk picks guests up at the gate and takes them up the steep climb. At the top, you’re rewarded with panoramic views over the valley and the sea, and the layout is designed to preserve privacy and create a calm, “hideaway” feel away from the crowds.
Seating is one of the highlights. Tables are set around the pool and decorative water features, and in the evening soft lighting comes on, creating a relaxed, romantic atmosphere. You can come not only for dinner but also for a swim — towels are provided, and there’s a lounge area and a bar.
The menu mixes international favorites with local dishes: pizza and pasta, steak and grilled chicken, tom yum with large fresh prawns, burgers (including wagyu), and fresh juices. A standout is the Baba Hot Pot. You choose between spicy or mild broths, and seafood and wagyu are cooked right at the table on an induction hob — so it’s available only at seats with a power outlet. During the meal, the broth is topped up with the same flavored stock, not diluted with water. Drinks include cocktails, beer, hot beverages, Thai tea, and a creamy Thai iced coffee.
Service is attentive and friendly: staff help with umbrellas when it rains, escort you to your table, and some evenings feature live music. Prices are above average, with a 10% service charge added to certain items, and drinks can sometimes be noticeably pricier than expected. It’s best to reserve in advance, and some dishes may take longer to prepare. The venue also serves breakfast for hotel guests, though the breakfast selection isn’t always extensive.
