Royal Phuket Marina is a sheltered bay that looks like a Mediterranean resort: clean, straight lines of the piers, dozens of gleaming white yachts, and perfect reflections on the water. People come here to stroll, enjoy the aesthetics, and breathe in the sea air.
It’s best to start your walk along the Boardwalk — the promenade that runs the length of the marina. This is the main route: a wide pedestrian path, the water just a few steps away, and luxurious yachts you can admire endlessly.
And of course, don’t forget to take photos! The best shots are in the morning, when the light is soft and there are hardly any people around, or closer to sunset, when the marina becomes especially cinematic.
Along the way, you’ll pass inviting restaurants and cafes with open terraces. It’s worth stopping for at least a coffee or something refreshing — the tables are right by the water, making it a perfect pause in your walk.
Farther on, the path leads to the piers, where you can really see marina life: some people are preparing their yachts to head out, others are returning from the sea, and some are simply sitting on board with a book… pure romance.
You can also pop into small shops along the way, step back out to the water again, and linger at any viewpoint you like. The walk takes about an hour, but you can easily stretch it longer — there’s no need to rush.
