Tony’s Sports Bar in Patong is a small, energetic spot for people who come for the game and good company — not for a show. Inside, the vibe is relaxed and friendly, with good music and a team that’s easy to talk to and happy to help you find a comfortable place to sit, even when it gets busy.
The main draw is the five screens showing live sports. They regularly put on the Premier League, other football leagues, Formula 1, and even American football. If you ask, they’ll also switch to less common matches and set things up so you can watch comfortably — up to and including putting the game on with sound.
To fill the time between halves, there’s free pool on a genuinely solid table. The staff are also up for bar games, so it’s hard to get bored. Beer is served ice-cold, drinks are poured strong, prices feel fair, and the place itself is clean and well kept. There’s a restroom, and it’s available at no extra charge when you order drinks. You’re also welcome to bring your own food.
One more bonus: no pushy “buy a drink” pressure from the staff. That said, the area outside is lively and noisy, so it’s worth double-checking your bill before paying. There’s no foosball here, but for live sports and pool, it delivers.
