Work Visa

Foreigners planning to work or start a business in Thailand are required to obtain a work visa. This is not always done before arriving in the country; each case is individual, and it is recommended to consult a specialist. This type of visa can later be converted into a long-term visa, which can be obtained either within the country or abroad.

Validity: 90 days, with the possibility of a one-year extension and further annual renewals.

Who is eligible:

  • Foreigners seeking employment with a Thai company.
  • Entrepreneurs planning to start a business in Thailand.
  • Individuals working for international companies with offices in Thailand.

Application process: The process requires a more comprehensive set of documents, which may include an invitation from a Thai employer, an employment contract, and more. Applications are typically submitted in your home country prior to arriving in Thailand.
