Phuket Philatelic Museum
An interesting place to stop by if you are in Phuket Town and want to learn something interesting about Phuket’s history. This small postal and philately museum attracts attention with its collections of vintage postage stamps, postcards and equipment, housed in the old post office building.
Here you can see the same machines and office layout as almost a century ago, as well as old stamping and packing machines and even telephones standing in their original places. The museum has mailboxes for internal mail and for houses, postal scales, and some stamp measuring equipment. A collection of old stamps that were used in the early twentieth century is on display. If you wish, you can purchase some of the stamps as souvenirs.
The Phuket Postal Museum is located in an 80-year-old building on Montri Road, near the main post office in Phuket Town.
