A place worthy of attention for those strolling through Phuket Town and interested in the island’s history. This small Philatelic and Postal Museum on Phuket in Phuket Town attracts attention with collections of antique postage stamps, postcards, and equipment, located in the building of an old post station.
Here you can see the same machines and office layout as almost a century ago, as well as old stamping and packaging machines and even telephones standing in their former places. In the museum on Phuket, there are mailboxes for internal mail and for homes, postal scales, as well as some equipment for measuring the number of stamps. A collection of old stamps used at the beginning of the twentieth century is presented. If desired, you can purchase some stamps as souvenirs.
The Phuket Postal Museum is located in an 80-year-old building on Montri Road, not far from the main post office in Phuket Town. How to get to the philatelic and postal museum can be found on the website.
