Is it easier to bring dollars in cash to Phuket and not bother with a card? Are there any restrictions?

Usually tourists arrive with cash and exchange dollars for baht on the spot, this is the easiest option. Other variants of carrying money and withdrawal from the card is also possible, but on less favorable terms.
