Is it possible to rent accommodation in Phuket for one or two months without a deposit?

We haven’t come across any cases of renting accommodation without a deposit. A deposit is a guarantee for a safe transaction, so it’s unlikely that landlords would be willing to forgo the security of their property. However, some unscrupulous landlords may try to withhold the deposit for minor and insignificant issues, manipulating tenants.
