Question

Where to go if you lose your passport in Phuket?

Insider's Response

If you lose your international passport, you must immediately report it to the police and file a loss report. The report will be written in the local language. Once submitted, you should receive a document confirming the loss or a police report.

When you visit your embassy, they will require the police case number before you can apply for a new passport.

Next, you will need to obtain a certificate of return (temporary travel document) to re-enter your home country. To do this, you must contact your country’s consulate or diplomatic mission and provide the required documents. The list of required documents varies by country.
