Chalong Badminton in Phuket is an indoor badminton facility with spacious courts and a solid playing surface. The floor provides reliable grip and doesn’t become slippery even during rainy, humid weather. The halls are wide and well maintained, making it comfortable to play both casually and in more advanced groups. It’s easy to find sparring partners on site, and you can also book coaching sessions or join structured training programs.
The amenities are practical: the complex is easy to reach from the main road and has a fairly large parking lot (though after 4–5 pm spaces fill up quickly). There are showers and clean restrooms. Lighting is bright, but when you play high lifts, the ceiling spotlights can occasionally get in the way and cause glare.
Be aware of the rules — there are strict policies on footwear and drinks. Only proper badminton shoes are allowed on the courts; shoe rental is around 100 THB. Outside drinks aren’t permitted, so you’ll need to buy water or other beverages on site (including smoothies). Equipment is available for rent as well: rackets (about 100 THB) and shuttlecocks (around 90 THB).
Inside, it can get hot without air conditioning. Ventilation and fans may not be enough, so it’s easy to overheat during intense games, especially in the daytime. It’s a good idea to book a court in advance and confirm the details — when it’s busy, scheduling mix-ups can happen and you may end up waiting at reception. Court rental is roughly 150 THB per hour.
