CY Cafe & Restaurant is a café-restaurant in Rawai, Phuket, close to the Promthep Cape viewpoint. People come here mainly for the panoramic sea views and sunsets — it’s a great stop on a coastal drive, but also an easy place to settle in and linger.
Inside, the space is clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and fast Wi‑Fi (up to 500 Mbps). The vibe is relaxed, and the staff are friendly and attentive. If needed, they’ll help with practical issues — up to and including support in an emergency — and they genuinely look after their guests.
The menu is wide-ranging, with both European and Thai options. Standouts include generously sized, flavorful burgers; duck à l’orange; sea bass with spaghetti in a lemony, spicy sauce; pad thai; and stir-fried noodles. For breakfast, the avocado-and-egg toast and a large green salad work well, and the onion rings are a popular snack. That said, not everything is equally strong — waffles, for example, can disappoint — and if you order “Russian cuisine” items, it’s worth confirming the ingredients and presentation in advance.
Drinks are one of the highlights: coffee made with Thai espresso (iced latte, cappuccino, mocha frappe), a coconut latte with creamy foam, smoothies, peach tea, and chilled whole coconuts.
A couple of practical notes: card payments may be unavailable or come with an extra fee, so it’s best to have cash; sometimes you may be asked to pay upfront. Toward the evening, service can be a bit inconsistent, and dishes don’t always arrive at the same time.
