Jungle Cafe' & Restaurant / Hideaway Jungle Bar is tucked into lush greenery at the foot of Kathu Waterfall. Once you’ve made your way down to the waterfall, just continue a little further and turn left — you’ll find yourself in the cool shade of the jungle with the sound of rushing water in the background. It’s an easy spot to pause after the walk, enjoy a relaxed lunch, or simply sit with a drink and take in the tropical surroundings.

What makes this place stand out are the tables right by the water, where you can sit with your feet in the stream. The vibe is intimate and unhurried: plenty of greenery, a neat setup, and a clean, cozy feel overall. It works equally well for a slow break and for getting a bit of quiet work done at a table.

The menu focuses on familiar Thai classics and straightforward comfort dishes. The highlights are tom yum (including a seafood version) and vegetable pad thai. You’ll also find fried noodles with chicken, garlic chicken, fried rice, chicken wings, green papaya salad, and a spicy egg salad. Presentation is tidy, flavors are consistently good, and portions are solid enough for a proper lunch.

For drinks, people often go for iced Thai tea, coffee or espresso, fruit shakes, and smoothies. If you want something sweet, chocolate cake is a great choice. Prices are still reasonable, though during peak times the wait for food can be a little longer than usual.
