Buddhist temple Rassada

Before the Big Buddha, this temple was known for the largest Buddha statue in Phuket. It is located at the foot of Khao Rang Mountain and you have to climb steep steps to get to it. The stairs are decorated with two huge snakes – Nagi, and the entrance to the temple is guarded by various demons – intimidating Yakshas, demigods and giants with great power.

There are many colored statuettes on the territory, the temple itself is also made in bright colors, so you can admire the architecture for hours and notice more and more interesting details.

It is customary to leave donations here on the tree in the ceremonial hall, banknotes are attached to the branches with clothespins. The shop sells candles, incense, flower garlands and leaves with thinly rolled gold for offerings.

Many visitors consider this temple to be the most beautiful in Phuket. When visiting, be sure to follow the dress code by covering your knees and shoulders with clothing.
