OYU Bistro is the debut project of Kazakh chef Arman Jumabayev, inspired by the city of Almaty. This southern metropolis is home to more than 20 ethnic groups, each with its unique cuisine and culture. Their family recipes have become a staple for nearly every Kazakh household. Now, OYU Bistro brings the best of these flavors to the island 🏝️
In this stylish bistro, you’ll find familiar dishes with a modern twist. Kazakh-style shurpa, Uzbek plov, handmade dumplings, okroshka, lagman, and a wide selection of chicken, fish, beef, and pork dishes — there’s simply too much to list! 🍜
To complement each dish, the bistro offers signature drinks, including bold mountain tea, Shymkent lemon tea, raspberry and cucumber lemonades, and even a lime latte 🫖
For cocktail lovers, the alcoholic drinks were crafted by one of Kazakhstan’s top bartenders. These cocktails are made with exclusive ingredients flown in directly from Almaty 🍸
