Buddhist temple Kata

An architectural marvel and a place of deep spiritual significance. The statue is 45 meters high and weighs over 135 tons! It is a viewing platform next to the marble statue located on the top of the mountain.

The best way to get to the top is to take a cab or take a 6 kilometer winding road that goes uphill from one of the main streets of the island.

At the top you will be met by a local caretaker who will assess your appearance to ensure that you comply with the local dress code when entering the holy site (women’s shoulders and knees should be covered, men should not be in bathing trunks). Admission to the grounds is free and unrestricted.

This is a place for reflection and the search for harmony. Here you can write a wish on a golden leaf, learn meditation, make a wish and get a blessing from a monk who will tie a thread on your wrist and read a prayer.

And you will also enjoy stunning panoramic views from a height of 400 meters! And meet monkeys, so it is better not to bring food and drinks here.

This place is enveloped in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, it will allow you to better understand the philosophy and spirituality of the people of Thailand.
