Bambus Restaurant, Bar & Hostel in Patong has an unusual setup: from the street it looks like a lively restaurant-bar, but once you walk in, it opens into a quiet courtyard oasis with greenery, lounge areas, and glamping-style tents. Despite the central location, the atmosphere inside feels calm, and Patong Beach and Bangla Road are about a 10–15 minute walk away.

The hostel section is tucked away at the back. Rooms are clean and air-conditioned, with extra-wide beds and privacy curtains, plus spacious lockers. The bathrooms are in a separate block, but only a few steps away — kept tidy, with strong hot-water pressure. Towels and basic toiletries are provided. Guests also have access to a shared fridge, drinking water for refilling bottles, reliable Wi‑Fi, and plenty of sofas and tables that work well for eating or getting some work done.

The restaurant and bar focus on Thai food and craft beer. Expect tom yum, spicy snacks, mango sticky rice, cocktails, and cold beer — including local brews served in chilled glasses — with a regular happy hour. There’s also coffee, budget-friendly breakfasts, and a handful of international options. For downtime, you’ll find a pool table, darts, and cozy seating with beanbags.

A few things to note: during peak hours service can be a bit slow, and some dishes are more hit-or-miss than others. Outdoor seating can feel hot during the day, but staff are quick to help with fans and small practical requests. The team can also advise on diving trips and help with general Phuket logistics.
