Weather in Phuket in March

Good news: the peak season is over, so prices are gradually dropping, and the weather is still delightful!
Here’s what tourists can expect when visiting Phuket in the first month of spring.

🌡 Air Temperature. March is one of the hottest months of the year. The average temperature ranges from +26.3°C at night to +32.5°C during the day, sometimes even higher. Don’t forget to wear a hat and stay hydrated.

☔️ Rainfall. No need to worry — regular tropical rains won’t bother you in March. There are only about 8 rainy days, and if it does rain, it’s likely to happen in the evening or at night. The total monthly rainfall is around 70-140 mm.

🌥 Sunny vs. Cloudy Days. Get ready for lots and lots of sun! Phuket enjoys 24 sunny days in March, with no more than 2-3 cloudy days.

🌊 Sea Conditions. The sea remains calm, wave-free, and very warm, with an average water temperature of +30°C.

🔥 What else you should know about March in Phuket:

🔸 The number of tourists decreases slightly, meaning more accommodation options and slightly lower prices;

🔸 It’s a very hot and dry month! Heatstroke and sunburn are easy to get, so extra caution is needed, especially for those with young children or heart conditions;

🔸 March is the perfect time for diving, snorkeling, and other water activities, as the sea is calm and warm — you can stay in the water for hours;

🔸 Many tropical fruits are in season, including mango, papaya, longan, and pineapple;

🔸 March 13 is Elephant Day in Thailand, with parades featuring these magnificent animals.
