Can you currently visit the Big Buddha?

Unfortunately, no. The Big Buddha is closed due to a landslide in August 2024. However, an alternative viewpoint near the Big Buddha has opened, freely accessible to all visiting tourists. Drive up to the statue and turn left at the “No Entry” sign to reach the parking area. The views are still amazing and the photos more unique — few tourists know about it yet.
Phuket has many other scenic viewpoints with stunning vistas.
