Child seats in Phuket are not very common, and taxis don’t have this feature. If you’re concerned about your child’s safety (which we support!), it’s better to book a transfer. In general, Phuket police don’t issue fines for driving without a child seat; it’s enough to follow three principles:

1. Drive slowly and stay on the left side of the road
2. The child should sit in the back seat
3. The child should be fastened with the lower part of the seat belt
