Question

What entry rules currently apply in Thailand?

Insider's Response

There is no difference between “package” tourists and independent travelers when entering Thailand. A single set of entry rules applies to everyone. So, what documents are required:

  1. International passport. It must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of your trip, and it must contain at least two completely blank pages. “Blank” means truly empty — without visas, stamps, or any marks.
  2. Visa. Not everyone needs one for tourism purposes. Travelers from the CIS countries, Europe, and a number of other countries can stay in Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days. However, citizens of Belarus must obtain a VOA (Visa on Arrival) directly at the border.

If you are planning a long-term stay in Thailand and are choosing a visa, a consultation with specialists can be helpful — they can simplify the application process. Choose the visa that suits you and submit a request using the form below.

3. TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) — a digital arrival card that must be completed in advance. Visit the official website https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home, fill out the form 3 days before departure (it’s simple), and download the confirmation (a copy will also be sent to your email).

From May 1, 2025, without a completed TDAC you will not be allowed to board the plane, as it is a mandatory requirement. The card will also be requested at passport control in Thailand.
