A bike is the ideal choice for getting around Phuket. Approximately 80% of the vehicles on the island’s roads are motorbikes.
The cost of renting a bike depends on its specifications. If you plan long trips on challenging routes, it’s better to choose a more powerful motorcycle.
Prices for simple bike models (125 cc) start from 300 THB per day, while more powerful ones (150, 155, and 160 cc) start from 350 to 600 THB per day.
Motorcycles can also be found for 600 THB and for 1,000–1,800 THB per day, depending on the model.

What you need to rent:
- A passport
- International driver’s license, category A
- Be over 18 years old. Some companies rent vehicles only to drivers aged 21 and above.
- A deposit. Sometimes they ask to leave your passport as a deposit, but you should never leave your documents. Insist on a cash deposit instead.
