Question

Where to buy grains in Phuket? Missing buckwheat and oats

Insider's Response

We understand you — sometimes, on an island known for its exotic Thai cuisine, you just crave something familiar and comforting. You can find grains in large grocery stores such as Villa Market, Makro, and Big C. Buckwheat is available there, though the price is significantly higher than back home. Oats are more commonly found and more affordable — you can even get them in some 7/11 supermarkets.

There’s an even easier option — order grains from the Lazada marketplace. Buckwheat starts at around 90 THB per pack, and oats from 55 THB. Delivery usually takes 3–5 days, and it’s convenient: the courier can bring your order right to your hotel reception or any other designated point. You can pay either by cash or card.
