Which fruits are best to buy in Phuket in November?
Insider's Response
In November, Phuket not only welcomes the long-awaited high season, but also the season of many tropical fruits. Here’s what you can find at night markets and in mobile food carts:
Thai Oranges
Thai oranges may have slightly green skin, but inside they are rich and juicy.
Jackfruit
A large fruit with fragrant, sweet flesh. It can be eaten fresh or used in desserts.

Sapodilla
Known as the “caramel fruit” because of its sweetness. The fruit has brown skin and soft, sweet flesh inside. Sapodilla should only be eaten when fully ripe due to its astringent texture, making November the perfect time to try it.

Longkong
The longkong season in Thailand ends in November. This fruit grows in clusters, with thin skin and white, juicy flesh that has a subtle smoky sweetness.

Pineapple
November is pineapple season. Thailand has several varieties that differ in color, shape, and taste: green and orange, small and large, dessert or cooking types – in November, you can try many of them.
Rose Apple (Chompu)
The peak season is November–December. In shape, this apple resembles a bell pepper, and its flesh is watery, crisp, and slightly sweet. It’s very refreshing and thirst-quenching.

Guava
Grows year-round, with its peak season in November. Its taste is like a “tropical apple”: fragrant, sweet-and-sour, with juicy flesh.
Dragon Fruit
Light and refreshing, perfect for hot weather. The flesh can be white or pink with black seeds, and the taste is delicate and mildly sweet.

Also in November, markets sell bananas, pomelos and other citrus fruits, papayas, watermelons, and many other fruits. Everyone’s favorite mango is available year-round, but its price is slightly higher in November because it is not peak season.
