Will tourists be given gifts upon arrival in Thailand this November?
Insider's Response
Yes! Thailand is well prepared for the new tourist season. From November 1 to December 15, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is launching a new wave of its “Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges” campaign: travelers will be greeted with souvenir gift sets right at the airport upon arrival! The initiative aims to make Thailand even more appealing to tourists (as if it needed any help). Gifts will be distributed at special kiosks located after passport control in airports, including Phuket International Airport.
What’s in the gift: an “Amazing Bag” souvenir tote featuring symbols of Thailand’s five treasures — cuisine, Muay Thai, textiles, new attractions, and cultural events. Tourists will also receive discount coupons valid at 300 top venues across the country: restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, and spas.
