Ajour Beach Club sits next to the Mai Khao Dream Resort in Phuket and operates as a laid-back beachfront bar and restaurant. It’s an easy place to spend the whole day by the sea: the shoreline is quiet, the water is calm, and the setting feels scenic and pleasantly secluded. Sun loungers, hammocks, and relaxed seating areas complete the space, with low-key music adding to the chilled vibe.
One of its biggest strengths is the exceptionally attentive service. The team is warm and professional, quick to help with practical requests and happy to tailor the experience to guests’ preferences. Evenings work well for a “cocktail hour” style of visit, and it’s also family-friendly: there’s a small kids’ area, and staff can prepare fresh fruit juices for younger guests.
The drink menu is a clear highlight. Signature cocktails are well presented and consistently made, with classics like mojitos standing out in particular. Food options are broader than they first appear: Thai dishes and fish (including salmon) are done especially well, and the venue can also arrange more romantic dinners right on the beach.
There are a few things to keep in mind. During periods of renovation, access to some areas may be limited and seating might be available only closer to the beach. Prices for food and drinks are noticeably above average, with service charge and tax added to the bill, and quality can be uneven on certain items. It’s also worth confirming the closing time in advance — on some evenings the club may wrap up around 9:00 pm.
