Caixianfeng Dimsum Phuket is a Phuket Town spot that follows the Hong Kong–style yum cha format: you pick dim sum from the display case, hand your choices to the staff, and they steam everything to order. It opens early and closes at 2:00 PM, making it an easy option for a late breakfast or an unhurried light lunch.
The menu is extensive and goes well beyond dumplings. You’ll find Bak Kut Teh with well-balanced spices and a gentle, clean flavor, along with char siu rice, crispy pork, Chinese sausage, wonton noodles, congee, meatball soup, and even oyster soup. The dim sum is generously filled; the shrimp selections stand out (including shrimp wrapped in seaweed), as does Hae Gun. If you’re in the mood for something different, there are liver dumplings, “lava” baos, taro dumplings, plus buns and pastries. To drink, they serve fragrant tea and a house milk tea — available in a less-sweet version.
The vibe is straightforward and very local. The dining room is spacious, with a cooler air-conditioned section and plenty of seating, and food often arrives quickly. It’s right by the road and easy to spot; parking is available in front, though spaces can run out during busy periods. There can be minor rough edges — occasional small bits of debris on the floor, and service that’s a little inconsistent (including delayed drinks), especially when the place is full.
