Camping Phuket 88 in Kathu is a quiet lakeside campsite tucked among trees and reddish hills. It’s the kind of place where you can feel “in the woods in the middle of the city”: lots of greenery, fresh air, and in the evening it’s especially nice to sit by the water and look out toward the open scenery by the golf course.

The lake sits at the heart of the property, with kayaks and SUP boards available, as well as fishing. Along the shore, you’ll find comfortable shaded chairs for relaxing. For larger groups, there’s a spacious elevated area with a long table for shared dinners, a fire pit (perfect for roasting marshmallows), and a dedicated barbecue spot — everything is set up and prepared before guests arrive.

On-site, there’s a café and restaurant overlooking the lake. The food and drinks are consistently good, and the menu includes standout local dishes, such as spicy “som tam” with noodles. Drinks typically cost around 40–55 THB, and evenings here naturally lend themselves to slow, easy conversation.

Accommodation is available in tents (around 900 THB) or in a glamping setup (about 1,300 THB). Lake and fishing gear is provided with rental. Basic facilities are in place, including showers, toilets, and power outlets. The campsite is still developing, so you may occasionally notice ongoing work, and the access road can be uneven in places — but once inside, there’s plenty of space and a real sense of privacy.
