CHATEENKHAO is a small halal café in Phuket’s Bo Rae area, known for its warm, intimate vibe and a neat, spotless dining room. The interior feels charming and homey: the ground floor has plenty of great photo angles, while the cozy second floor is perfect for a calm lunch and a break from the heat.
For a place of this size, the menu is impressively varied. You’ll find skewers and kebabs (including tender, mild, takeaway-friendly options), fried shrimp, chicken schnitzel burgers, and French fries. There are also a few European-style dishes — homemade pizza and pasta cooked properly al dente. Food is nicely presented and served hot.
What really stands out here are the generous portions and straightforward prices: it’s easy to eat well, even as a group, without overspending. The drinks are worth trying too — the strawberry matcha is a great pick, and the Thai tea is brewed nice and strong.
The staff are friendly and attentive. On rare occasions, drinks can take a bit longer to arrive, so it’s a good idea to allow extra time when the café is busy. Beyond food and drinks, they also make pretty floral decorations that you can take with you as a small souvenir.
