Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town Hotel

Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town is one of those hotels that is worth choosing not so much for a beach holiday, but for its convenient location. It’s an ideal option for a weekend as part of a combined trip. Especially if you want to explore Phuket Old Town while staying at an international hotel chain with good service.

The hotel is about 500 meters from the Old Town. You can leave your car or bike and explore the area on foot: along the way, you’ll find historic buildings, unusual cafes, bars, and small local spots. On Sundays, the famous Sunday Market takes place here – an authentic night market 🛍

There are also plenty of places to go in the evening – Phuket Old Town is home to quite a few interesting bars with a more laid-back (but not boring) and atmospheric nightlife than Bangla Road. Check out our video about it 🍸

The hotel itself is also well suited for a family trip. There is a swimming pool, kids’ club, gym, and family rooms with a kitchen. Breakfasts and dinners are served at Krua Talad Yai, a European cuisine restaurant 🍝

Our separate recommendation is YUE, an authentic Chinese restaurant 🥡, and especially the Peking duck!

Another plus is that Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town regularly hosts events, concerts, and other activities. You definitely won’t be bored!

We chose this hotel for a short city weekend: it’s perfect to arrive on Friday, spend the evening exploring the bars of the Old Town, go for a walk and photo tour on Saturday (check out our post), and leave Sunday for the market. For this kind of trip, Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town is simply perfect!
