Cozy Corner by Poached in Phuket is a neat, welcoming café with a stylish contemporary interior that leans slightly American: comfy booth-style seating, calm music, and an easygoing atmosphere that works equally well for reading or getting some laptop time in. The Wi‑Fi is reliable, and they bring water to the table and top it up without you having to ask.
The menu is built around modern breakfasts and brunches — and it goes well beyond “just coffee and toast.” You’ll find avocado smash with perfectly poached eggs, porridge and oatmeal options (including overnight oats), burritos, sandwiches, and bagels. The pulled pork choices are a standout, from sandwiches to pulled-pork eggs Benedict, where the meat comes out tender and deeply flavorful.
If you’re in the mood for Thai food, the selection is extensive: tom kha gai, pad Thai, fried rice, morning glory, panang curry, coconut chicken, cashew chicken, shrimp dishes, and items featuring shrimp paste — served in noticeably generous portions. Drinks include solid coffee, protein shakes, and large smoothies (the mango one is especially good), along with mango iced tea and Thai milk tea with adjustable sweetness. Beer is also available with food.
Service is friendly and attentive, dishes are usually served quickly, and the prices feel fair for the quality. A couple of small caveats: some items can run a bit salty, and delivery or peak hours may bring occasional mix-ups; the smoothie glasses aren’t always the most convenient to drink from.
