.island in Phuket is a stylish coffee shop with a distinctly “St. Petersburg” feel: a neat, tasteful interior, fresh flowers on the tables, cozy seating (including an upstairs area), and a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in with a laptop for a couple of hours. Everything is clean and well looked after, and even the restrooms are thoughtfully stocked — with quality soap, hand cream, and paper towels.
Its biggest strength is the coffee. The espresso bar is consistently solid: rich espresso, cappuccino, and flat white, plus filter coffee served in thermoses. They also offer a genuinely good decaf — still a rare find in Phuket. The drinks menu goes beyond the basics with options like raf coffee, matcha (including a standout mango matcha), and fruit teas. Water is complimentary and refilled throughout your visit.
Food leans toward European-style breakfasts and straightforward comfort food: shakshuka (including a cheesy version), omelets, zucchini fritters, hash browns, croissants, and porridge bowls (for example, mango-coconut). There are also items like Philadelphia rolls and sushi, along with some Russian-style foods and grocery products. You can pay in rubles via QR code. Small dogs are welcome as long as they’re in a carrier or stroller. For relaxed meetups, there are books and board games, and the café occasionally hosts private parties and after-parties.
Desserts alone are worth the stop — especially their Napoleon cake (including a berry version), alongside other Russian sweets and seasonal bakes such as Easter kulich. Prices are above average and portions aren’t always large. There’s no on-site parking, so most people use the lot near Villa Market. Now and then, there may be minor issues with certain dishes or substitutions, but overall the service remains attentive and friendly.
