Krua Talad Yai Restaurant is located in Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town, just by the Clock Tower. The venue feels bright and well cared for: a stylish dining room with softly dimmed lighting sets a calm mood, while the windows — and the outdoor area — offer pleasant city views. There’s plenty of seating, and even during busy periods the space doesn’t feel crowded.
The concept combines buffet dining with à la carte options. One highlight is an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet with no time limit, featuring river prawns, lobster, and other seafood; premium sets also include Wagyu steak. The prawns stay firm and juicy, the pork can be impressively crispy, and dishes come out quickly. Beyond seafood, there’s a Japanese buffet offered in two price tiers: some items are served to the table, while sides and salads are easy to pick up yourself. For dessert, you’ll find Lavanille ice cream and a particularly good daifuku.
The breakfast buffet is a relaxed way to start the day, with a solid selection that includes local Southern Thai dishes and fruit such as Phuket pineapple. Indian dishes can also be prepared on request. Service is attentive throughout: staff help with details, clear plates promptly, can arrange a celebratory surprise, and make an effort to keep families with children comfortable.
Prices feel fair for a hotel restaurant, and Club Marriott members may get noticeable discounts. A couple of minor drawbacks: some items may be less consistent in flavor or texture, and when seated outside the main dining room, service can occasionally require a bit more attention.
