Badminton Court

Phuket Provincial Badminton Club is a sports venue in the Saphan Hin area of Phuket — an easy place to combine a training session with a walk. Nearby you’ll find a children’s playground, and the hall is hard to miss thanks to a large, colorful mural on the outside wall. It’s visible from far away and often used as a photo backdrop.

Inside there’s a spacious indoor hall with 9 courts and decent lighting. The surfaces are generally fine for regular play and practice, although some courts can feel slippery because of the painted finish. If you’re planning fast-paced, intensive matches, it’s better to choose courts with more grip.

You can come with a group or on your own. It’s usually easy to find people to play with on site — locals are quick to pair up and often invite newcomers to join doubles.

The vibe is sporty and welcoming. Many regulars play here, ranging from casual players to more experienced ones, and coaching sessions are also available. For post-game downtime, it’s convenient that there’s a restaurant right in front of the venue, with a shop close by as well.

The location is especially enjoyable in the morning and evening, when the weather is cooler — ideal for training, jogging around the stone bridge, or simply taking a walk. Keep in mind that joining games may require following local rules and a sign-up system, and English communication can be limited.
