Rawai View

Rawai View is a beachfront restaurant set right at the edge of Rawai Beach, with direct access to the water. Its main draw is the ocean view and sunsets: in the evening the dining area glows with soft string lights, mellow music plays in the background, and the terrace offers a clear view of how the shoreline changes with the tides (at low tide, boats end up resting on the sand). Seating is available both upstairs and downstairs — down by the water it’s a little calmer — and fans help take the edge off the heat.

The menu focuses on Thai classics and seafood. You’ll find pad thai, tom yum, larb, red chicken curry, massaman (including versions served with roti), and mango sticky rice, along with whole fish, lobster, prawns, and even fish & chips. There are vegetarian options and a few kid-friendly choices as well. Presentation is neat, flavors are bold, and the portions are genuinely generous.

For drinks, there are mocktails such as a virgin mojito, and beverages generally arrive quickly; if you order juice, it’s worth confirming whether it’s freshly squeezed or from a carton. There’s also a small wine list. Prices are above the Rawai average, but the location, service, and the overall feel of a clean, well-kept place make up for it. It’s easiest to get there by car or by taxi/Grab.
