Tera Boulanger
Tera Boulanger is a bakery and coffee spot in Phuket Old Town, tucked just around the corner from Starbucks. The space is bright and neatly kept, with a true bakery feel: everything is spotless, the display case looks genuinely tempting, and the air smells of fresh pastry and butter.
Their main focus is croissants and laminated pastries, with clear attention to technique and ingredients — crisp, flaky layers on the outside, a soft and airy center, and sweetness that stays balanced. The selection includes almond, lemon, yuzu, and several chocolate options (including a triple-chocolate version), plus more unusual items like a matcha mochi croissant bun, a charcoal croissant, and a croissant filled with mung beans. One standout is the Shio Pan, a Japanese salted bread roll: crunchy on the outside, tender and buttery within, finished with a subtle salty note — especially good when served warm.
Beyond pastries, people come here for breakfast and dessert breaks: waffles and croffles, French toast with banana and vanilla ice cream, and brownies. The drink menu is straightforward and not overly sweet, with coffee, tea, iced tea, and Thai milk tea.
Seating is limited, with small tables and compact chairs that aren’t always the most comfortable. During busy hours, service can be unhurried, and communicating in English may not always be easy. A few items can lose freshness later in the day, and some breads (such as sourdough) may be kept frozen — worth checking upfront if that matters to you. You may also see Tera Boulanger as a pop-up at markets and events.
