There is a rum factory here, where you can take a tasting tour, cocktail making workshops, and an open-air bar-restaurant with delicious drinks and tapas. There are some of the cutest kitties living on the grounds 🙂 The restaurant itself specializes in Thai and Western cuisine. The food is delicious! The cocktails are also top notch. Be sure to try their mojitos. The area is very beautiful and well maintained, there is a large parking lot. Be sure to go here for lunch or dinner.
And if you want to support local production, take a tour of the distillery. It’s short, but very interesting and fun. The rum tasting is good fun for those who like rum, gin and vodka. All of them are excellent. Local rum is made from sugar cane juice, here you can taste all 5 types of rum and buy your favorite.
It is important to note that the sugarcane juice is used in the production, not molasses, which is formed as a by-product after sugar production. The raw material for it is ordered from Thai farms.
