Trooper Eats is a café on Phuket’s Fitness Street (Soi Ta-iad) serving Western food with a strong focus on “clean eating.” It’s an easy stop after a workout for breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner: the dining room is air-conditioned, the space is neat and well kept, and the seating works equally well for a quick bite or a relaxed meal while watching the street’s fitness scene.

The setup is straightforward: order and pay at the counter, then the food is brought to your table. The menu is broad — everything from muscle meals, salads, and wraps to bolognese pasta, oatmeal, and egg-based breakfasts, plus sourdough bread. A big advantage for anyone tracking their diet: a dedicated healthy section with calories and macros listed right on the menu, and many dishes can be customized (for example, by swapping ingredients).

Standout items include protein pancakes, chicken dishes (including halal options), chicken salad, oatmeal, and wraps. Portions are usually filling, though prices are often higher than at nearby spots on the same street. There are a few drawbacks to keep in mind: some dishes can run overly sweet (such as bowls or the peanut curry), the chicken and scrambled eggs are occasionally overcooked and dry, and the coffee can be inconsistent both in quality and in how quickly it’s served.

Service can vary — from genuinely friendly to noticeably curt. Strict vegetarians should clearly confirm ingredients, as meat components have occasionally ended up in orders. Some guests also report inconsistencies in macro information and portion sizes, which matters if you track intake precisely. Rarely, people experience mild discomfort after eating, so it’s worth choosing items with a bit of caution.
