The temple is located in Krabi province. It was built in 1940 on donated land. Until recently, this temple was not very well known even among locals, let alone tourists.
This is not just a temple, it’s a place for spiritual rebirth, where you can enjoy the splendor of Thai architecture, the beauty of nature, and an atmosphere of tranquility.
The main attraction of the temple is the central stupa. Its height exceeds 70 meters, and its beauty and abundance of gold is dazzling.
Within the temple grounds rises a magnificent golden chedi modeled after the sacred site in Bodh Gaya — the location of Buddha’s enlightenment. It is surrounded on all sides by pathways where you can see images of Buddha. Mythical figures, golden statues, majestic pagodas decorated with works of art – you want to take it all in at once!
In 2002, a chedi was built in the temple to honor the 50th birthday of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, who became the famous King Rama X. The temple gained fame thanks to its 109-meter golden pagoda, and attention to it began to increase. This pagoda is considered the tallest in Thailand.
