Which beaches are good for snorkeling?

Many beaches in Phuket are suitable for snorkeling: the rocky northern part of Kata Beach, Laem Sing and Laem Ka with their underwater rock formations, the small Banana and Ao Sane beaches, Paradise Beach surrounded by rocks on both sides, and Yanui Beach with its many corals. Freedom and Nai Thon beaches are also good for snorkeling, but only during the high season when the sea is calm. If you want to admire fish while snorkeling, it’s better to choose small beaches, as popular long beaches with lots of tourists are not suitable for this purpose.
