Many beaches in Phuket are suitable for snorkeling: the rocky northern part of Kata Beach, Laem Sing and Laem Ka with their underwater rock formations, the small Banana and Ao Sane beaches, Paradise Beach surrounded by rocks on both sides, and Yanui Beach with its many corals. Freedom and Nai Thon beaches are also good for snorkeling, but only during the high season when the sea is calm. If you want to enjoy watching fish, it’s better to choose smaller beaches, as popular long beaches with many tourists are not ideal for this purpose.
