Where to go with kids in Phuket

Many tourists come to the island with children. While some parents are content with activities like trips to the beach, the pool, and the night market, children with boundless energy often need more. We’ve prepared a selection of places where you can go with kids so that everyone can enjoy their vacation.

Elephant Sanctuaries

The link above provides a selection from Insider, and below are a few of the best ones:

The elephant is a sacred animal in Thailand. Unfortunately, they are not always treated well everywhere, but not in sanctuaries. Here, they don’t offer elephant rides (which they really don’t like!), but instead, show how they live in their natural environment. Children can touch, feed, bathe, and interact with the elephants and their babies, and adults are unlikely to remain indifferent either. Elephants are truly magical, and the interaction with them is always a warm and special experience.

Zoo Parks

Children love animals. Moreover, it has a positive impact on their psychological development and fosters their interest in the world around them. Zoos in Phuket offer a great opportunity to observe exotic animals that live in clean conditions, without physical restraints, receive proper veterinary care, and are not given sedatives.

Petting zoos

A few of the best ones:

  • Sweet Talk cafe (The animals are brought in twice a day: from 11:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 17:00)

Here, you can (and should!) interact closely with the animals: pet them, touch them, and feed them. Petting zoos are designed specifically for children to have close contact with animals. The opportunity to touch and play with the animals brings a lot of positive emotions to children, and adults as well.

Aquarium

Here, you can witness a mesmerizing underwater world – unusual fish, sharks, rays, orcas, as well as enjoy dolphin and sea lion shows. Usually, visits to the aquarium and dolphinarium bring just as much joy to adults as they do to children.

Play centers in shopping malls

The familiar play centers for children that many parents know are also available in Phuket. They offer a variety of attractions – ladders, trampolines, slides, toys, as well as the chance for kids to interact with their peers. While the children are having fun, parents can enjoy some time for themselves and go shopping.

Water Parks

  • Pamookkoo Resort (a hotel with a water park inside, where you can buy an all-day entrance ticket)

There are many water parks in Phuket, but these are the ones with special child-safe rides and shallow pools.

These are not classic museums, but places for fun, so even the youngest visitors will definitely not be bored here. Cool photos are guaranteed.

Rope parks

Here children can go through an obstacle course, fly on a ziplane and feel like real Tarzans. By the way, there are also quite difficult distances, which will be interesting for adults.
