The largest aquarium in Thailand, where you can come face to face with sharks, rays, and giant turtles. Thousands of marine creatures live here – from tiny coral fish to majestic predators. Sharks, rays, bright tropical fish, jellyfish, penguins, and meerkats. The atmosphere feels like the real ocean: soft light, shimmering water, and the sensation that you’ve stepped into another world.

The aquarium is located on level B1 of the Central Phuket Floresta shopping mall. It is indoors, which makes it a great place to visit on a rainy day.
One important thing to note: the aquarium has very clean glass panels (unfortunately, not always the case elsewhere), so you can easily see all the creatures inside. And there is no unpleasant smell, which is another positive fact.
The aquarium features several themed zones. Right at the entrance, guests are greeted by the “Mystical Forest” – a world inspired by Thai legends of the mythical Himmapan. Here live the giants of the Mekong River: arapaima, sheatfish, gourami, Siamese carp, and more. Every day, divers go down to feed them in front of visitors. On the second floor of this zone, you can also see reptiles and jungle insects: snakes, salamanders, frogs, and spiders. Some camouflage so well that you have to look closely among the leaves.
Another part of the aquarium is the “Coastal Haven.” Playful otters live here, and during feeding time they turn into real performers: jumping for balls, spinning around, and even tugging at the staff’s clothes in hopes of a treat. Nearby are the dignified Humboldt penguins, patiently lining up to dive into the water. Sharks can also be found in this zone.
In the “Ray Bay,” life flows lazily: large rays glide slowly through the water. For 50 THB, visitors can feed them themselves, and watching the feeding is a delight on its own.
A special highlight is the aquarium designed as the wreck of the submarine USS Lagarto. This American ship took part in World War II and was only discovered on the seabed of the Gulf of Siam in 2005. Now, reef fish and rays swim among its remains.
The “South China Sea” zone houses the largest marine tank, where spectacular shark and ray feeding shows take place, along with the daily “Mermaid” performance, where artists dive without scuba gear. The schedule of shows and feedings changes, so it’s best to check the official website in advance.
In the “Legend of the Sea” zone, visitors will find a half-tunnel with sunken sculptures and reef dwellers, and in the touch pool you can get hands-on with starfish, small sharks, rays, and other sea creatures.
The journey ends with a hall featuring jellyfish and an entomology collection, which includes seahorses, beetles, a bat, and seashells. At the exit, there is a souvenir shop with plush toys, T-shirts, and photos of guests taken at the entrance.
