The largest waterfall on the island and a great spot for a walk surrounded by exotic plants and cool air is Bang Pae Waterfall in Phuket.
The path to the waterfall can be slippery, so it’s best to be cautious and wear closed shoes. In the afternoon, mosquitoes can be quite active, so bringing insect repellent is recommended. If you’re wondering how to get to this place, check the route in advance, as the journey goes through a national park.
In the national park, which includes Bang Pae Waterfall, there is also a gibbon rehabilitation center.
On the other side of the hill lies another famous waterfall – Ton Sai – connected to Bang Pae Waterfall by a trail that takes about three hours to complete. The path leads through dense jungles, bamboo groves, and rubber plantations. The trek is scenic but suitable only for experienced travelers.
