Bang Pae Waterfall is the largest waterfall on the island and a very pleasant place for a family outing. The waterfall is cool and exotic plants grow around the waterfall. The path to the waterfall can be slippery, so you should be careful and wear closed shoes instead of slates. There is also a large influx of mosquitoes in the afternoon, so bring sprays and creams to ward off these pesky insects.
In the national park, part of which is the Bang Peh waterfall, there is also a rehabilitation center for gibbons, the road to which takes 10 minutes from the waterfall and is a concrete path, in some places blocked by the trunks of fallen trees, through which you have to climb over or dive.
On the other side of the hill is another famous waterfall, Ton Sai, which is connected to Bang Pae by a trail that will take about three hours. The trail will wind through dense jungle, bamboo groves and rubber plantations.
