BangBang Aquatics in Phuket features a spacious 25‑metre lap pool with around five lanes and a depth of up to 2.5 m. The water is kept clean, the grounds are tidy and well maintained, and during the day it’s usually calm and uncrowded, so you won’t feel squeezed in. The pool is outdoors with no shade, so for longer sessions it’s worth keeping the strong sun in mind.
It works well both for relaxed swimming and for regular lane training. Adults can pay per visit or per hour, with entry typically in the 70–100 THB range. There’s a separate kids’ pool, lounge areas with sunbeds, space for companions to sit, and an on‑site shop. Showers, changing rooms and restrooms are available, though the men’s restroom area may be undergoing extended repairs and can have a noticeable smell.
One of the main strengths here is swimming instruction for both children and adults. The coaches are friendly, explain things clearly, and lessons tend to deliver quick progress; you can also come with your own coach. Food and drinks are available as well.
A few things to be aware of: the water can sometimes smell strongly of chlorine; the tiles near the walls may be slippery; and the markings/layout aren’t always ideal for more “professional” turn practice. Cap rules and separation between children’s and adult areas may also be enforced inconsistently.
Location: Phuket Country Home, Luang Pho Chuang Road (via Chao Fa Soi 48).
