Resort hotel Phangnga

In Phang Nga Province, near the famous Samet Nangshe viewpoint, there is an unusual hotel, Beyond Skywalk Nangshi – a place where natural landscapes blend with modern architecture and one of the most unique viewpoints in Thailand. The complex is located on a mountaintop, offering panoramic views of dozens of karst islands rising from the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea.

The main feature of the hotel is the Skywalk Nangshi glass bridge, which runs along the mountain peak next to the viewpoint. Its length is about 180 meters, and its height above the surrounding landscape reaches approximately 80 meters.

The bridge only appears fragile – its floor is made of triple-layer glass about 30 mm thick, and the structure is designed to support a load of up to 500 kg per square meter.

The Skywalk is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. It is accessible not only to hotel guests: the entrance ticket costs 800 baht (children – 500), usually including a voucher for food or drinks at the complex’s restaurant. However, hotel guests have an important advantage – unlimited access to the bridge without queues, allowing them to visit during the most beautiful hours of the day.

The hotel itself has only 57 rooms, divided into several categories. These include tents with sea views, forest tents, pavilions, and villas. The sea-view tents are located closest to the viewpoint and allow guests to wake up with a panorama of Phang Nga Bay right before their eyes – truly romantic! The forest tents are situated a bit further away, offering a calmer atmosphere amidst tropical nature. Pavilions and villas are suitable for those who prefer more space and comfort – some are equipped with private pools and are often chosen by families or groups of friends.

The complex also has the Horizont restaurant, open throughout the day. It serves Thai and international cuisine, with tables on an open terrace offering one of the most beautiful views of Phang Nga Bay.

Special attention should be given to the time of visit. Sunrise is considered the main moment that travelers come for. In the early morning, Phang Nga Bay looks particularly impressive: the karst islands rise from a light mist, and the soft light gradually colors the rocks and water in golden hues.

This is why many guests prefer to stay at the hotel overnight – regular Skywalk visitors can access the bridge only from 10:00, when the lighting is already completely different.

The hotel complex can be reached in about 1.5 hours from Phuket – a distance of approximately 70 km. The last part of the road goes along a mountain slope, so guests usually leave their cars at the parking lot at the base and take the hotel shuttle, which runs regularly to the top.
