This is one of the most famous hotels on Karon Beach, but it was our first time staying here — and here’s our honest review 👇🏼
▫️First of all, this is the only hotel on Karon Beach that is truly located right on the beach 🏖 Not across the road, not “technically beachfront.” Here, you literally step out of the pool and within a few steps find yourself at the shoreline 🌊
▫️Secondly, thanks to its location in the northern part of Karon, the atmosphere is much quieter than in the center of the beach. It feels like a secluded resort while still being close to restaurants, shops, and all the necessary infrastructure.
The hotel grounds are lush, beautifully maintained, and designed in a Sino-Portuguese architectural style that reflects Phuket’s cultural heritage, creating a very photogenic and cohesive atmosphere.
The resort is an excellent choice for families with children — a definite advantage in our opinion 👍🏻 There is a large water zone with slides and a lazy river, and even the opportunity to jump from a cliff into a deep pool (something we’ve never seen anywhere else). There’s also a fantastic kids’ club, a playground for younger children, and a gaming club with PS5 consoles for older kids.
If you’re traveling without children and looking for a more peaceful experience, there is a beautiful adults-only pool with a bar serving cocktails on floating trays.
The rooms are stunning, with breathtaking sea views. Some categories even feature private pools or jacuzzis.
The hotel offers a Day Pass program, allowing you to enjoy all of the hotel's facilities without staying overnight. The cost is THB 1,250 per adult, of which THB 1,000 is provided as a credit to use at the restaurant, bar, and spa. Children under 12 years old are free of charge (these conditions apply during the low season).
There are several restaurants on the property, including COAST Beach Club, known for its atmospheric Italian-style brunches 🍝
The next Roman cuisine brunch will take place on July 19, with prices starting from 1,590 THB.
Travel tip: If you visit for the Sunday brunch, you can enjoy complimentary access to the resort’s facilities — a great deal!
After our visit, it became clear why Centara Grand Beach Resort has so many returning guests — and we’ll definitely be coming back as well 🫶🏻
