Ciao Wine Bar & Store is a beachfront restaurant and wine shop located right on Karon Beach. It’s especially lovely in the evening: you can sit outside and watch the sea, or choose the air-conditioned indoor dining room instead. The interior is neat and cozy, the vibe relaxed rather than flashy, and families will appreciate the dedicated kids’ area.
The menu mixes European and Asian favorites. Expect seafood and pasta, a tuna salad, a club sandwich, and a well-executed Margherita pizza with good dough and sauce. There are also steaks, including Australian beef and wagyu. Portions are generous, flavors are well balanced, and dishes aren’t over-salted. A simple lunch or dinner for two adults and two children typically comes to around 1,000–1,500 THB.
The highlight here is the extensive wine list and on-site bottle shop, with selections from multiple countries ranging from easy-drinking options to premium labels. The staff know their wines and can recommend a good match for steak or seafood. Prices feel fair, and there’s a 15% discount on takeaway bottles.
You can pay by card or cash, and hotel-deposit payment is also available. Guests of Thavorn Palm Hotel receive 10% off the food menu. One thing to note: some wagyu items may seem pricey for the portion size and presentation.
