Viewpoint Jungle Vip is a viewpoint bar set in the hills above Phuket’s Karon area. The main reason to come here is the panoramic ocean-and-sunset view — from this height the scene feels especially dramatic, with a wide open horizon, soft evening light, and a welcome sense of escape from the bustle below.

The venue is laid out as a series of terraced platforms that resemble small treehouse-style decks. You can pick a more secluded spot, sit back with a drink, and enjoy the low-key background music. After sunset, the “jungle” mood becomes stronger: cicadas get loud, and mosquito repellent is a good idea in the evening.

The menu focuses on drinks: cocktails (including mojitos, sangria, coconut-based options, and passion fruit daiquiris), plus coffee and tea. Prices are in line with typical local spots. The cocktails have a noticeable kick, though the balance and mixing quality can be inconsistent. Food is either unavailable or very limited — more of a light snack situation; at times they serve simple bites like popcorn.

Walking up isn’t easy: the access road is steep and winding in places, and in the heat the climb can feel like a mini trek. By scooter or car it’s only a few minutes from the beach, with convenient parking on site. For sunset, it’s best to arrive early — and it’s worth double-checking opening hours, as the place is sometimes closed even when marked as “open.”
